Hi there! My name is Fernando Asmawidjaja and I'm a 27 year old guy from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Although I've been living in Amsterdam for almost my whole life, it all started in Groningen which is a small city in the northern part of the Netherlands. At the end of my high school period, my love for Asia began to grow. As with a lot of people it started with Anime (Japanese Animation) and Drama's (Asian mini series). After having the opportunity to attend Korea University (고려대학교) in the spring semester of 2010 I could never let this country out of my mind. Being there on your own, living in a complete new environment is something that can be scary. But having lived there in total for 2 years now it is something that will always be a part of my life. In 2011 I was privileged to have my internship at MRM Worldwide Korea (McCann Worldwide), an advertising agency. It was my first working experience in Korea and I have learned a lot from it. Owning an iPhone since 2007 and being up to date on the developments of the iPhone pretty much every day I would indeed call myself an addict. Jailbroken since 2007 and exploring the possibilities of this device.
If it has anything to with technology I'm eager to learn more about it. Whether it is about mobile phones, televisions, computer hardware or gaming I'm always willing to see how things work.
Recently interested in graphic design and how these influence the user experience in the digital age.
Apart from having the right financials at this moment, traveling is something I like to do. Although Korea has become my second hometown, there's still much to explore.
Tweeting since 2007, "liking" things since 2008 and an avid lurker on Reddit. I feel comfortable with social media and staying up to date on any new developments.
With an empty wallet (but passionate mind) I hope to find my next challenge.
